in october, i co-hosted a series of weekly potlucks with the eminent @fukath , bringing together many different people over tables with different themes (soup night, baked potato night, goodbye party!) there was always an abundance of food, an abundance of games (mahjong, word games, cards) and an abundance of personalities :’) in many ways, these potlucks were a reflection not only of the community i feel so lucky to have built, old and new friends, reconnecting friends, connecting friends to each other, but also of the friendship i feel so lucky to have stumbled upon at the beginning of october, meeting kat. these gatherings felt like the manifestations of our shared excitement in knowing each other, in sharing our worlds with each other, joy expanding outwards. mitski said i love everybody because i love you. i couldn’t imagine this coming at a more needed time. many faces here not pictured, whose lives have intertwined with my own, who have grasped my hands and pulled. thank you for coming, more soon.
