In honor of all HBCU homecomings and my very own at @pvamu approaching, PLEASE read this brief backstory. So some time ago, I created a WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL show surrounded around a fictional HBCU located in the dirty south titled "B U"! Most call it "the yard" or "tha brooke". The story is based on my life and others I know experiences. Without giving too much away, my wonderful writing partner @yvettewren helped me in putting together a RAW ASS BLACK story about these few lives at this prestigious university. Hollywood can be a TOUGH door to crack whew lawd! And although I wouldn't be starring but instead having a fresh NEW cast of young faces, I just want ALL to KNOW that coming from a fellow HBCU attendee AND majorette on the field, baby I will stop at NOTHING until everyone will get that REAL LIFE NON FILTERED HBCU experience on your tv screens!
