๐ŸŒฑ SEED TO PLATE RETREAT. 13-17 OCTOBER ๐ŸŒฑ Completely immerse in nature over 5 days as we travel through the journey of seed to plate. We're ending the year of retreats with a team of earth guardians, who've dedicated their lives to soil and sustainability. Together we will immerse deeply into nature through permaculture, biodynamics, foraging, wild medicine making and plant based culinary techniques. Each day weโ€™ll rise with the October sunshine and walk to the oak deck for guided mediation, breath work, yoga or intuitive movement to the sounds of the morning birdsong. After a banquet breakfast you'll tend to the soil and seeds, guided by no-dig advocate @jacks_patch ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŒพ You'll learn to create your own no-dig gardens through the concepts of permaculture and biodynamic principles. In the forest you'll walk trails searching for edible mushrooms and medicinal plants with fungi fanatic Peter Grant of @trewhitts and intuitive herbalist Amanda, the @wildtealady ๐Ÿƒ Carry home your abundant baskets full with bitter herbs, mushrooms and hedgerow fruits to our kitchen lab to learn how to preserve and create herbal remedies for your winter medicine cabinet. In true Meadowsweet style, meal times are always a place of celebration and a time of the day to look forward to (especially after a day working in the vegetable garden!). Our resident chef @soph_gordon , author of โ€˜The Whole Vegetableโ€™ will not only be cooking up the most delicious, vegan meals, but she'll also be teaching you some of her secret tips in the kitchen to create flavour packed, no-waste meals using the whole plant, from seed, stem, flower and fruit.
