What is your wildest dream? Tell me in the comments ⭐️ My wildest dream? I want to make a career out of art & music. I want to play sold out shows, create endless art, and impress the world. Sometimes it feels close, sometimes it feels impossible. Honestly? The closer I get the further I feel. Every time I get my hopes up about a creative career opportunity it seems to disappear in the blink of an eye. I find myself thinking: what’s the point? I start to doubt my talents, my image. I feel foolish for thinking I can live the « unconventional » life of an artist and pay the bills. Art? Music? Get real! But then I have to stop myself. I have done this BEFORE! I have dreamed the impossible dream of packing up my bags, buying a one way ticket to Paris, and making a new life for myself in a foreign land. A dream that so many have dreamed but many never see through, or give up when the going gets tough. A dream that a lot of people didn’t believe I could make happen. And I DID it. And it WASN’T EASY. It still isn’t. I’ve nearly given up countless times. But everyday I wake up knowing that this is the city where I’m meant to be and I am SO grateful that I believed in myself. So here we are, a motivational letter to myself, a motivational letter to you. I have dreamed the impossible dream once and I *pause for effect* dare to do it again! I will continue to make art & music even if I am my own biggest fan (and also my own harshest critic as my sister keeps reminding me... another important reminder for ourselves)! At the end of the day, I am grateful to have YOU, such a large audience, that encourages me to keep doing what I’m doing. Maybe it’s not all for nothing. Thank you for being here, thank you for your interest. Sometimes I get lost in creating for the feed *what will people like?* and I forget it all started with a love for the craft in the first place.
