She’s spent too long being told she’s just a model to know that she doesn’t need to stay in any one lane to succeed. She is proud, for example, that her face isn’t used on her book’s cover. Similarly, her podcast, ‘High Low with Emrata,’ is a new enterprise that will have no purchase over her image. She will be heard, not seen—and that’s the point. “I’m down to talk about sex, be a millennial or whatever, while also having—hopefully—the eloquence and interview style of Terry Gross,” she explains.
