Miguel Calderon “Empathy for Other Creatures” (2022) is an ode to dysfunctionality and Chapultepec Park in México City. "I woke up disoriented in Chapultepec Park after a long euphoric night of drinking during my thirties. The glaring sun had filtered through the trees, hitting my face and interrupting my deep state of sleep. The first thing I saw hovering above me when I opened my eyes was a large green amorphic figure. I instinctively jumped in fear, trying to protect myself from it as my heartbeat accelerated. It took me some time to discern that the delirious abstraction above me was in fact an old green seesaw that I had seen before and used forever." Photography by @william.jess.laird
