This panel at @oneyoungworld was all about reminding the world that migrants are humans too and that it is our shared responsibility to do everything we can to welcome them in our communities. No one chooses to be a refugee/asylee and flee their home leaving everything behind. Migrants don’t need us to speak on their behalf- they are not voiceless. They need us to hear them and amplify their voices. To use our privilege, access and resources to advocate for them. When we talk about migrants, remember that they are more than numbers and statistics on a piece of paper, they are real people with valuable lives.
