The commodification of empowerment means there is one question to be asked immediately after it's mentioned: is it embodied? I've done a lot of falling for the stories people told me about who they were going to be for me. For the world. It's no longer enough. What aligned action are you taking to be the physical representation of empowerment? Or whatever else you claim to be. Is it really ~giving~ embodiment? I'm unable to settle for less than anything I'm fucking thrilled and honored to be a reflection of. You can't tell me what you are, you've got to show me. I hold myself to that same standard. The people who love me hold me to it just the same (that's how I know I'm home). It's about intent just as much as integrity. So next time someone tries... ask yourself: but is it embodied though?
