repost from @edanexists: (me and @thereallyrealelp in the corner @ a wetlands show I played with DOOM in 2000) I met KMD in 1991 through Pete Nice. They were at my first show which imo was terrible. I jumped off the stage and stormed out and KMD followed. DOOM asked if that was part of my act, I lied (embarrassed) and said yes. SUBROC and I became friends immediately. I was a huge KMD fan before I met them and running around NY with them was surreal, getting fades from SUBROC, he was crazy with the clippers. I even got my first North face with SUBROC uptown. When he died DOOM took me under his wing and I watched the painful transformation from ZEV to DOOM. He helped me grow as an artist and much of the advice helped shape my craft. He was light years ahead and always on his own shit so to say I was influenced by DOOM would be an understatement. MF DOOM FOREVER! SUBROC FOREVER! #mfdoom #subroc #kmd
