One of my favorite lasers is the pulsed dye laser (PDL) aka vbeam to target red. 🔴 I love the response we achieved with my patient here for her rosacea / post-inflammatory erythema. What does it treat? It’s great for telangiectases, rosacea, hemangiomas, poikiloderma (“Texas chest”), scars, post-inflammatory erythema, port-wine stain birthmarks, stretch marks, etc. How does it work? It’s a concentrated bean of light that targets red in the skin. The light gets converted to heat which destroys blood vessels while leaving surround skin undamaged. Downtime? Minimal typically.
