A little backstory behind this perfect proposal 🌈❤️ When I planned this outdoor beach proposal, I knew we were taking a risk. It was Memorial Day weekend in the Hamptons, which has a good track record of rain over the past few years. I talked through backup plans with the groom-to-be and he said, “rain or shine, we’re doing this.” If he had to walk down the deck with an umbrella, then they would. We even had to take extra steps like drilling the white runner into the deck so that it wouldn’t blow away from the wind. Being the type A planner I am, I of course tracked the weather all day. We saw chances of showers right around the same time of the proposal. We then felt a few raindrops during the set up - our team looked at each other but we didn’t say anything. I checked the weather app and saw high chances of heavy rain in 20 minutes, but it was out of my control. Not only did they beat the rain, but they got the most insanely beautiful DOUBLE RAINBOW!!!! As a proposal planner, I always like to plan for every scenario, but sometimes the best moments are the ones you can’t plan for 🤍🙏💍
