Content and intentional are two words that have been on my mind a good bit recently.
I do not know what your specific life circumstances are at the moment, but God has a purpose for them regardless. Whether it’s a waiting season, a season of uncertainty, a prosperous season, God has a purpose for it.
In a waiting season or time of uncertainty, God has a purpose in that because in the waiting, God is testing your faith. If our circumstances were perfect 100% of the time, faith would be meaningless. That’s what faith is, trusting God when you do not see that His plan for you is better than yours. But I promise you, He will make it CLEAR to you. God will prepare your heart for what He has for you if you are committed to it. Your job is to abide in Him and grow because when God gives us clarity, a yes is essential. It may be scary or intimidating at first to step out and say yes to His plans for your life when they may not be what you were hoping or expecting. But true joy is found in the Lord, so delight your heart in the fact that His plan for you will be better than your own. He is teaching you to be content in every circumstance that you face in this life.
Even more so, God is so intentional with every step of your journey through this life. Every single detail of your life has been divinely orchestrated by the God of the universe. Just look around you, there are so many big and small details about this beautiful planet.. and universe.. that could not be set in place without the infinite power and intricate nature of God. So rest in the fact that the omnipotent Father has intentionally laid out the steps of your path, you just have to say yes and be intentional about following it. And because God is so intentional with us, we should be just as intentional with each other. Every word, every action, every interaction could have a massive impact on someone else. So let your intention be to always put others first in a loving and kind manner because that’s what Jesus modeled for us. Isn’t that ultimately why we’re here? To live a more Christlike life and to follow the paths that the Lord is leading us to.
