Look at the beautiful vibrissae (whiskers!) on Zoe and Sierra! 😍 The vibrissae on marine mammals are extremely sensitive and work to detect vibrations in the water. They also use them to explore objects both in the water and on land, and can move them in order to do so! An additional fun fact about these two California sea lions: they are molting! This means, they are currently shedding + replacing all of their hair.
