Adventure + exploration have always been in my heart since I was a child. It’s core to everything I do, my art included. For me, art is about getting out of the way; it’s not an emotional catharsis. But more discovering what is already there by subjugation to experience. Being alone somewhere strange allows the emptiness of not-knowing to be filling... finding alter egos in the emptiness where traditional comforts that make your perception of you nonexistent. Space is necessary to house the ideas and objects of the environment, to be complete. I’ve always wanted to have a dinner party, a feast, with all of my friends. Most would not know each other, by degree of separation of interest, personality or most probably location. And I smile thinking about all the insights gleaned by everyone talking to each other.
