Just over a week ago we wrapped principal photography on @shivababymovie, my first feature film as a Producer. I cannot express in words the gratitude I have for the entire crew and cast. Everyone from our Production Assistants up to our Department Heads showcased such dedication, skill, and excitement for this movie and I owe each of them the world. A huge thank you to our Shiva Queen @emmmaseligman, who entrusted @kindofokatie, @lizzie.shapiro, and myself with her baby. On the same day we wrapped SHIVA BABY, I also quietly acknowledged that I had now lived in the United States for exactly six years - almost all of my adult life. I am unbelievably proud of what I’ve achieved in those six years and I know it is because of the confidence others have placed in me before I had it in myself. Special shout out to my parents, who have given so much to their children, family, and wider community with no expectation of anything in return. It has certainly been six years of ups and downs and the homesickness has been real. But wherever you all are, I want you to know I’m very, very happy, and I hope you are too.
