What started as a goal to provide combat Veterans an opportunity to still serve with and for their Afghan counterparts, turned into Save Our Allies having the opportunity to assist with resettlement efforts at eight stateside Military installations. Veterans from all over the country volunteered to be a large part of helping their Afghan allies and regain a sense of purpose when everything seemed senseless. A recent study showed 41% of Veterans are still reeling with trauma following the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Knowing that 20 Veterans a day die by suicide, and Veterans are still struggling from the aftermath and end of the twenty year war. We all can do our part in being there for each other.
