5 years ago I was building movie lights in a factory full time. The only auditions I could make were when I’d sneak out on lunch breaks to drive across town to a casting office and then tell my boss at work that I got caught in traffic on my way back (which is always true if you drive in LA 🤣) I did odd jobs on weekends to make extra money for acting classes that my mom thankfully helped me pay for. I was frustrated. I was constantly anxious. Today, I am grateful for those experiences. They taught me so much. Yet everyday I still felt like I was missing my window to become an actor. To chase what I truly wanted. My dream was slipping. But I didn’t stop. If you told me that the @hollywoodreporter would feature me on their Next Gen 2022 list I would have said “you’re crazy.” Fast forward 5 years. I am honored and beyond humbled to be featured alongside such incredible talent that I admire. Moral of the story: Whatever you’re chasing, lead with love and gratitude. Don’t stop. Period.
