Building new healthy habits #33BUILD
Im committed to ultimate health in 2023. First things first - knock out the bad habits.
Number 1: 🚫SMOKING🚫

And yes. I know I’ve been preaching about health and wellness here. I am human. I have a HORRIBLE vice and AND I am committed (for more reasons than my health) to quitting for good.
I learned there’s 3 key components to breaking an old habit and building a new one:
1. Change your system. Old habits repeat themselves because what’s missing is routine and/or systems.
2. Commit to daily new healthy habits for 33 days to beat an old bad one.
3. ACCOUNTABILITY: Find a friend, use your partner or ask a family member to HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE.
For the next 33 days, we’re gonna set (at least) 5 new daily habits to break an old one. Any 5 things that better your health.
Here are mine to quit smoking:
1. Nicotine reduction (Gum reduction for one month)
2. Not checking my phone for an hour after I wake up
3. Meditate for at least 20 minutes
4. Take my daily supplements
5. Intentional cleaning for 15 minutes in the morning
6. Morning Abundant Manifesto
7. Writing my calendar for the week every Monday
8. Calling at least one friend/family member every day
9. Intentional movement for at least 60 minutes (Gus is gunna get some nice longggg walks)
10. REACHING OUT FOR HELP AND SUPPORT
BONUS POINTS: ACCOUNTABILITY - I’m using Joe as my accountability buddy so he can practice some new healthy habits too!
I added a few more to mine and its a bit long and intense because this is probably the HARDEST habit to quit.. But we’re doing it.
