On this day 20 yrs ago.. my dream was realized. A major step.. the break through I waited years to achieve. My debut album, ‘World Outside My Window’. There’s so much I could share about this pivotal moment in my life. But I feel like the most important is, THANK YOU. Thank you to everyone that made my dream a reality. Thank you ultimately to God for bestowing on me the blessing of experiencing what many don’t. I got to make history. I’ve had the honour of being the 1st Black Canadian male R&B/soul vocalist to ever emerge from Canada with international, world wide success before anyone,.. the only other black male before me was legendary pianist, Oscar Peterson. I imagine most, if not all people hope to leave something bigger than themselves behind that inspires, enriches the lives of others, that makes the world a bit better than they left it. Legacy. That’s always been & continues to be a huge driving motive in all I do. This album was my beginning. I’m eternally grateful. Grateful for this moment & those to come.
