Kind of scary but also thrilling to do a story time after ages. As you know, I kicked off a Get to Know Me video yesterday where we explored my beginnings, ups and downs, college, career etc ... the raw and vulnerable. This is part 3 of 3. My “why.” I care about community over competition; about creating a ripple effect in our communities so that everyone has a seat at the table. Whenever people tell younger folks “wow you guys have it so much easier than my generation!” It makes me sad, because you know what, the next generation SHOULD have it easier. We go through the fights we do so it’s slightly more accessible for the next person to achieve fruitful opportunities.... Isn’t that how we are going to build social capital and generational wealth? Through exchange of knowledge? I already feel that movement happening for South Asians across the entertainment and media space! If anything resonated, send me a DM.
