Just 10 days left on this wild European adventure we have been on. I will miss — The crystal clear waters that seem to suck the toxins and negative energy out of our skin with every swim, so you emerge anew. The way that Ezra’s teachers hug and kiss him every morning when he walks through the door, unafraid of a lawsuit. The universal healthcare for all. The coffee shops that don’t open until 10am and serve you an “iced coffee” as a hot coffee with a cup of ice next to it. The body positive, natural welcoming of a few extra pounds, extra frizz and less makeup. The juice-dripping-down-your-skin produce for a fraction of the price it will be back in the States. The blissful ignorance of being an expat — not understanding the inside jokes, not recognizing the ingredients at the market, unaware of the brand names or associating any thought or significance to them — there’s a freedom in the unknowing, in the quieting and opening of the mind and heart to just take things as they come. 📷 @claudialucia
