An anterior placenta is located on the front wall of the uterus facing the mother’s abdomen making it harder to feel fetal movement. A posterior placenta is located on the back wall of the uterus closer to the mother’s spine. Seeing baby’s movements with a posterior placenta may be a bit freaky. Both positions are totally normal.
