This week’s spotlight is our very own Charlotte Porter, General Manager of @pecansquarecafe Q: Where are you from? A: Sorry Austin, I’m L.A. born and raised. Q: How long have you worked for MML Hospitality? And at what location? A: Just over a year! Started at Hotel Saint Vincent New Orleans and I’ve done stints at almost every MML restaurant in Austin. Now home at Pecan Square Café. Q: Before joining MML, where did you work? A: Spent most of my career in NYC with NoMad and Eleven Madison Park. Returned home to L.A. at Here’s Looking at You and All Day Baby. Q: What is the first food you remember loving? A: Oysters Q: Desert island meal? A: A bottle of rosé & pasta amatriciana. Q: Favorite candy to sneak while you are working? A: Revisited Sour Skittles recently. Truly transcendent. Q: Favorite dish to make at home? A: My mom’s Enchiladas Suizas.
