My first “workout” was when I started taekwondo when I was only 6 years old. I wasn’t there to train my body physically- I wanted to keep training because it was just FUN!! I loved how I felt during and after. As I grew older, I then became obsessed with this idea of having a core purpose, as my master would instill mindfulness as part of our training and a state of foundation for self love and compassion for all beings. I started to love the idea of feeling this ultimate high, forgetting where I am, letting my inner world come through as my higher self would channel divine, receiving intuitive messages through my kicks and punches. Working out never started with my body. It was working inwards. I rarely reach those ‘peak moments’ when working out, but when I do.. It’s like this euphoria.. an inner orgasmic EXPANSIVE HIGH. Joy pouring through and out of me, as if I’ve reached a new state of enlightenment or nirvana.. There is nothing like it. I want to thank these few coaches + trainers who truly have been an instrumental part of me loving my “workouts” but really, working inwards.
