😢 Some of our products are being discontinued Monday September 12th! ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ The news about our economy shrinking and a recession looming has got all us small businesses scared. ​​​​​​​​ We’ve just started navigating a post-brexit world of trade (hint: absolute nightmare), we’ve scraped through covid, most of us now paying back business recovery loans, plant oil and ingredient prices are through the roof with the war in Ukraine, and now we’ve got to deal with a recession... Feels like the news is getting worse daily!​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ Small biz owners are used to being resourceful and changing tack quickly, so we’re set up to thrive in the face of such adversities. ​​​​​​​​ With that being said, we really have to ‘trim the fat’ of our businesses in order to survive these next few years. ​​​​​​​​ For me, building resilience means moving out of the lab (really a little too luxurious for what I need!) and cutting down on the product line. ​​​​​​​​ I am proud of all of my formulations, but some products just don’t have a great profit margin, they take too much effort to make, or they don’t sell well enough to warrant keeping.
