We just shot Jake’s first modeling Portfolio. He did a great job using his arms for posing, creating dynamic angles and engaging poses. But he’s new to modeling so he didn’t have a wide range of posing variety yet... As an experienced photographer, you learn to draw from the best of what you have in front of you! So with Jake, I loved the way he used his arms and created great expression with his eyes from behind his hair. So I had him continue with his most comfortable pose and I shot him from different angles creating different compositions. Remember... a good photographer doesn’t just rely on his models ability to pose... (b/c let’s face it, most people can’t come up with a 100 poses, or even 50)... SO, here are a few tips to help you make your photos come alive without relying on your model to come up with a ton of poses: 1. move around your subject. Don’t just plant your feet and shoot. Shoot from the left side of your model then the right side. 2. Squat down a bit and shoot from a lower angle 3. Use your zoom for tight-in and full out compositions Learn Photography: @insidethestylestudio_mhphoto . . . . . . #sandiegophotographer #sandiegophotographers #laphotographer #laphotographers #nycphotographer #nycphotographers #photographyclub #phlearn #fstoppers #headshotcrew #headshots #headshotcrew365 #modelingportfolio #modelportfolio #modelportfolios #photoshoot #photoshootideas
