It is challenging to continue business as usual when women in the US are in deep collective pain. It is a pain that reverberates with women worldwide and shakes Mother Earth to her core. We know this because she (our planet) shows us the consequences when domination and control take center stage, and the higher feminine is suppressed. At S'eau Prima, we advocate for women to put themselves "first” but this is a privilege when women are treated as second-class citizens. It is a vision, not a reality. It feels like a stark contrast to the battle we are about to fight, a slap in the face to dare think it is possible, and even further reaches for the women these laws disproportionately affect. As we sit in our anger and moments of hopelessness, we are enraged that society is reverting to a time long past when women were scared of their own bodies and fearful of the consequences of the law. The futures of our nation's daughters, our sisters, fates decided for them by the patriarchy. Once again, but not forever. The Matriarchy is growing, and she is FUCKING READY. This is the long view, and we want REVOLUTIONARY feminism, not working with ineffectual existing systems. Right now, we are committed to helping marginalized communities get the reproductive justice they need in this long battle. Black women have always driven the feminist movement and have been the real heartbeat, and intersectional feminism is more important now than ever. It is not just about equality; it's about equity and justice - all of which must align for real liberation to exist.
