I am so incredibly excited to have styled this cover with @nateberkus and @jeremiahbrent and their two sweet babies. They are truly so lovely and funny and fun and of course talented. I also had the pleasure of creating this with two other phenomenal Black women @sans.murs and @kellemiles. I am grateful. Thank you for having me @michaelsshome and @amyastley. ・・・ A New York homecoming. Although AD100 designer Nate Berkus describes himself as someone who philosophically “doesn’t hold on to real estate,” the elegant lower Fifth Avenue apartment he lived in from 2013-2016 with partner and fellow AD100 talent Jeremiah Brent lingered in their minds when the couple had children and moved on. “It was always the one that got away,” says @jeremiahbrent. When the home came back on the market, the pair moved fast to reclaim their happy place. It’s great fun to see how they reimagined their beloved old home (which was featured on the October 2015 cover of AD) with entirely fresh furnishings and many longed-for tweaks they hadn’t managed to realize the first time around. “We’ve found our own style together,” says @nateberkus. “It’s a blend of his modernity and rule breaking, with my sort of traditionalism and crazy auction-house encyclopedic furniture history that lives in my brain.” Full story in October AD & link in bio Photos @sans.murs styling @kellemiles text @youracquaintancejessiklein fashion styling @shandilatee
