Trials are inevitable. They come without warning and with lots of possible pain, struggle, and worry behind them. They have the ability to ruin even your best of days without even trying. But, one thing I can tell you about trials, they don’t last forever. One thing that people tend to forget is that there is PURPOSE in them; God is orchestrating things in your life that you aren’t even aware of yet. The suffering is so hard, but the funny thing about God is that even the most difficult of things can be transformed into something absolutely beautiful. It is possible to find peace in your struggles, to recognize that God is at work for your good. Jesus came to this earth to bridge the gap between us and God, saving us from our sin and shortcomings. The fact that we get the opportunity to have a relationship with the Father still astounds me to this day. Another thing I’ll say, you are NEVER alone in your struggle. Not only are there so many other people also going through the same things, but Jesus is sitting in it with you, holding your hand and guiding you through it. I saw this quote that you’ve probably heard before, but I just thought it was such a great truth: “We’re like glow-sticks. Sometimes we have to break before we can shine.” THERE IS PURPOSE IN YOUR PAIN (@adamtarver). At some point in your life, you will go through multiple hardships, and that’s okay. God didn’t promise us an easy life, he promised us that it would all be worth it. We have to go through the difficult seasons so that we can be a light and shine for those who need to see Jesus. This past week has been especially hard for me. With school, expectations, and life all weighing on me at the same time, I felt trapped. I felt like I was drowning. But in those moments I kept feeling a tug at my heart; something telling me “you are not alone. I will fight for you, please let me.” (Keep reading in the comments!!!)
