This incredible photo shows a 69 year old truck driver who had daily UV exposure more intensely on the left vs. right side of his face because of his occupation for over 20 years. You can see that his driver’s side has more aggressive lines and wrinkles and thicker, leathery skin we call “dermatoheliosis”. You might think, “well, I drive with my windows up” Nope, doesn’t matter! UVA rays can penetrate the glass of our side windows and are even present on cloudy days. They penetrate deep into the “dermis” of our skin, breaking down collagen and elastin. 😬 (Not to mention the increased risk of skin cancer) So, what do you think? Tell me in the comments! ☀️
