2022: The year that was normal. After the pandemic years of 2020 and 2021, 2022 felt like a victory lap, a celebration of resilience and triumph. It was a collective sigh of relief. We’d made it through the marathon. We ate, drank and partied again. Downtown Las Vegas continued to grownwith new businesses and development throughout Fremont East, the Arts District, Symphony Park, the Medical District and the nearby Historic Westside. There’s even more to come in 2023. As with every year, 2022 wasn’t without its hardships and setbacks. A massive fire in June — the largest fire in the city in the last 25 years — displaced more than 100 residents in a development near Fremont and Eastern. Thankfully, everyone made it out safe. And, yes, some businesses closed, but many were quickly replaced. And as always, the community continued to show up for each other, supporting their friends and neighbors, keeping DTLV thriving. Let’s keep this energy in 2023. Happy New Year, y’all! 🥂 📸: @chara_stagram_
