Another poster to incite you all to come to the screening of @fibonaccimademehardcore Tuesday 21 September at @3537org I understand some of you want to know what exactly this film is.. the posters are admittedly quite mysterious. If you are following me, you have probably seen some of the mini dance videos that @rosemariemeyer and I have made in the past. Videos that are all a result of the same working method: We go out, I dance and Marie films. We hunt for beautiful accidents, gathering as much footage as possible, that we later try to cut and paste into a kind of summary of the moment. This way of working leaves us free to follow sudden inspiration, with the hope that without a predetermined ending we can arrive at a natural conclusion of the moment. The research of this conclusion comes through a series of reactions between my dance and her impression of my dance. The constant exchange between subject and observer. The camera (Marie’s eye) is my dance partner; sometimes I lead, sometimes I follow. Fibonacci Made Me Hardcore employs the same relationship between subject and observer, to a much bigger scale. 30 dancers, observed by 5 cameras, each camera and dancer with the power to shift the direction of the filming and thus the resulting film.
