Today marks exactly 6 years since I started modeling and the exact date I walked a fashion show for the first time as well. I’ve shared these clips a lot, but it’s reminder to me where it all started, in a small local show in the middle of Manhattan to walking in a Museum 4 years after that, to working with some of the biggest brands we can only dream of. I’ve literally worked my way up slowly but surely. Up until recently I’ve been very, very down, hard on myself, tired and depleted in wanting to keep going and pushing through, It’s been tough it always has been tough never been easy, I try to tell myself I have to keep going, I have to keep existing in these spaces as much as I can. When you look like me, you will have a thousand thing against you while navigating this industry but those moments of good that come make it worth it when they happen. I will work hard for those good moments to happen more often. Today marks the exact moment I also realized I would be and play apart of that change, not only the change I want to see but what so many others still want to see. We will make it happen.
