#SwimEveryday anniversary! I managed 317 swims in 365 days. Illnesses, travels and very extreme weather conditions were the only reasons for the missing days. A year ago, I was in a bit of a state. At that point, it has been a year since I was working 110-120 hours a week, juggling my paid job and volunteering roles in food and farming activism. By 3rd April 2021, I haven't left the house for about 3 weeks. My boyfriend threatened to end the relationship. I was told to get-the-f-out-of-the-house for at least 30 min everyday. I needed something that would be more thrilling than a run and less weather dependent than surfing. I decided to do a 30-day cold swim challenge. It has been a remarkable journey. 30-day was not enough. It took almost 100 days before I didn't have to tell work to wait. By then, I was addicted. From sea temperature of 6C to 1C, air temperature of -2C to 31C, range of wind conditions up to onshore 32mph.
