With #vanspipemasters coming to an end I’ve been feeling really grateful for the experiences I’ve been able to have and the people I’ve been able to share them with. Most of mainstream surf culture has always made me feel uncomfortable but this week showed a way I could exist and make space for myself authentically even within the mecca of surfing. Best moment of the week was definitely an impromptu queer surf sesh with rockaway homies, new homies and ~2x women’s world champ surf (& queer) icon~ @tylerwright <3 Thank you for giving me this special opportunity, @george_pedrick @vanssurf @vanssurfevents Thank you @leahloves for the boards :* and always thank you to the land and people of hawai’i for letting us all enjoy the joy of surfing :)
