We were gearing up to track this time last year and I had the great pleasure of securing the talents of @robbiebcrowell (bass guitar), @strangeamerica (drums, percussion), jarrad k (keys) and then we were joined for some more live tracking with @dacostaband (guitar, lots of pretty singing, wiggly). @combsmattstrings came and killed it with his one man quartet (times 3). @jasonisbell let me look at red eye and then played me into a guitar wonder brain and sang! @spencercullumjr (steel) We had other guests like @garrisonstarr and @thebrianfallon and I’m the asshole who is forgetting who else but also they recorded themselves and then sent me the files. It’s not like I shook their hand and forgot anyone? 😬 Cory was kind or foolish enough to let me do all sorts on this record and I had a lot of fun. He just came over like every day I wasn’t working otherwise in late December and I just kept asking him what more do you want from me? He said plenty and i’m glad he did, I love how it turned out.
