It has taken me a long time to post this, because I still can’t exactly find the words to express how grateful I am for this opportunity. This issue, the July issue of @natgeo magazine, is so important. The fact that I was chosen to be the one to represent such an important issue and to be the first model to work with National Geographic is such an honor. Indigenous sovereignty should be taken more seriously for many reasons. Read the article to learn more about indigenous sovereignty, how we walk in a world/society that wasn’t made to benefit or include BIPOC people and about our lands and ways of life🪶❤️✨we are here #natgeo #nativeamerican As we were driving to the sacred lands of my Diné relatives, monument valley, I got to stop by Tuba City, which was where I was born, Black Mesa which is where my little brother, Denali and his family is from, and Kayenta which is where family stay. I felt very at home. Even tho we weren’t able to do this in Alaska, Arizona is my second home🙏🏽🪶❤️
