these are the opening poems in my 2nd collection #TheSunAndHerFlowers (in the same order as they appear in the book). they are individual poems but the beauty of a collection is that the way you lay it out means everything. so much of this collection is about heartbreak. when your heart breaks you go to bed hurting. you wake up and experience it all over again. heartbreak is a series of punches to the gut. to illustrate that i put these poems (and the rest of the poems in this first chapter) in an order that signified those painful punches to the gut. each can be read as a single poem but they can also be read as one continuous poem page after page❤️
