my mother's legs, my father's face my father says that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. he's a scientist, he would say that. it's hard not to feel like any progress we have made has been taken away from us. but because of so many organizers, generations of people have gotten abortions, people have been able to marry who they please, trans kids have gotten the health care they need, birth control has saved many many lives. so now, we will do more work. we feel the depths of sadness, but then we get up and we help those who have been on the ground working for so long. i believe that we all react so quickly on here not because of some national default in our character, but because this is a tool to let out our most immediate feelings--horror, sadness, rage. but it is one thing, a tool, and it can be used to share information and to organize. so in that honor, of the one thing this app is actually good for, you can find a local abortion fund to donate directly to communities affected @ abortionfunds.org but also, if you're reading this, you probably already know that, so here's a few ppl/orgs to follow for info: @abortionfunds @advocatesforpregnantwomen @blackfeministrants (thanks @meauxpaus) and if you, my friend, have info for me, on how we can provide support to those who need abortions or other medical care that will soon be made illegal, please comment or let me know so we can continue to pass it along
