In 2010 an all-male dance company called the Featherstonehaughs (pronounced ‘Fanshaws’) did a production at The Place in London where they drew on the sketchbooks of Egon Schiele. It was later captured by renowned dance photographer Chris Nash and is part of the collection of the V&A. I didn’t know any of this until I showed this picture to my girlfriend. Sometime in life you just have to make your costume designer laugh and you inadvertently end up with a niche contemporary performance art reference 🤷🏻‍♂️
