Been thinking about what the “scarcity of time” can do to productivity. I recently took on a contract role alongside working on my biz. Having so many hours of my week “taken” by this contract role has motivated me to work even harder on my other projects. The “scarcity” of my time reminded me of its value, pushing me to use it more wisely. I’ve found that to be an interesting testament to the need of structure for creativity and the usefulness of pressure when applied appropriately... not that it can’t be abused. On the other hand, scarcity can induce anxiety. So a healthy perspective of work and balance is also necessary.
