Reflecting on 2021: this year was an ebb and flow of changes and challenges. Dorito got a brother named Rain, I took lots of road trips and saw snow for the first time in years. I made some fun content, got to work with some really awesome people, moved to Arizona for the summer, got vaccinated, moved back to LA, dyed my hair pink, made some new friends & reconnected with old ones, got on some airplanes, and ended the year seeing my family for the first time in two years. While all the above are great, behind the scenes I was knee deep in therapy and my healing journey after leaving an abusive relationship last year. There were many tears shed and many edges stretched. Many of my boundaries that were challenged and pushed only for me to find where I stand and things I will no longer accept. I learned that no can be a sentence and I wholeheartedly found my worth. I learned what it means when we say we can’t pour from an empty cup. And worked really hard to move from anxious attachment to secure. I am excited for 2022. No year will be perfect and challenges will always be present, but this time I feel prepared for whatever life will throw my way. Have a happy New Year, let’s do this 2022!
