Not me thinking about how we still have some of the most idolized Filipinos still promoting skin whitening products. 🥴Still on a day to day basis, I’m constantly told to stay out of the sun as I will get darker. As if being dark isn’t beautiful. I hear family and friends saying they aren’t beautiful because they are so dark. I understand that these beauty standards- especially across Asia have been around for years and years, but I hope we can embrace our color and embrace our culture. I would love to see more influential people across Philippines stop promoting these products as it really does affect the way your audience view themselves... Peace and love 💜
