AUGUST 1ST, 1972 - I never learned from a mistake, took advice from a grown up, or worked hard in school. I did work hard at life. Scanning through the contents of my phone, Im struck by my beautiful life. My community, relationships, the smiles, the countries, the laughter, the tears, the rich connections, the decades of joy, some sorrow, a lot of laughter. I’m reminded that while it wasn’t always easy, when you don’t know any better, it was all just right. I am forever grateful to this ever evolving village of love, compassion, strength, and truth. Without my friends, my chosen family, the acquaintances that have left their special magic in my heart. Without all of this, i would never have been allowed to color outside the lines, live on the edge, and find myself in the courage of community. I am clearly a late bloomer, but thats because I never gave up on life, and they never gave up on me. Thank you for my journey, let’s smile some more ❤️
