Believe it or not, the last time I was in Maine was when I was attending photography school in Massachusetts and we drove up for the day to attend a 4th of July lobster picnic. It was sealed into my mind ever since. When Hutton and Bobby—who are getting married in Wyoming this month—asked if we could meet them in Portland, Maine for the engagement session the answer was a resounding YES! They met there at summer camp as kids and had a vision of sailing the open waters in a classic yet editorial feeling shoot. When you combine beautiful landscapes, a gorgeous boat (complete with a heart on the sail), an amazing couple and gorgeous fashion, you know it's going to be a good day.
