In a few weeks, I will get to sit at a table, with just my husband, and go on a date at a restaurant for the first time in a year. ⁣ ⁣ Why? ⁣ ⁣ Because I was in a prep for World’s since January and after I finished my prep, T was in a cut (which will be over in 2 weeks). ⁣ ⁣ So, we haven’t been on a restaurant date in a year. And some people may think that’s crazy. And that we live too extreme and our goals take away from our joy. ⁣ ⁣ But we disagree. Our goals help us to keep growing as individuals, which feeds the relationship. Our discipline helps us bond over discomfort and adversity. Our work ethic helps us push each other and hold each other accountable. Our aiming-high helps us keep expanding and creating what we desire. And not having a restaurant date has forced us to be creative in our relationship and find different ways to connect other than food. ⁣ ⁣ It’s strengthened our friendship and our respect for one another. It’s made our quality time more quality. Greatness requires sacrifice. And having a partner who not only understands that but stands by you while you achieve your dreams... it is the best gift I could receive in this life. ⁣ ⁣ Grateful to walk through life with a true King. And I wouldn’t trade this for “normal” or “comfortable” any day. ⁣ ⁣ Let’s keep rising 🦁💎
