Maria Shriver's father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2003. Since then she has lead the charge in raising awareness and funding for the care and research of Alzheimer's. Her children's book, "What's Happening to Grandpa?" lead to the documentary "The Alzheimer's Project," which was HBO's biggest and most successful TV event ever.
