This is probably going to be a temporary post, but I just have to say it: I’m sad tonight. I am exhausted with explaining that my ceramics are not for sale right now. I don’t mind that people are interested- that’s definitely a compliment! 🧡 but I am sick to death of the angry and shaming responses. “It’s so selfish of you to keep them all for yourself.” (A. I’m not planning to and B. I made them! I can do what I want with them!) “You shouldn’t post it if you won’t sell it. It’s false advertising.” (This has the same energy as telling someone they can’t post cute selfies because they aren’t single and available.) “You should at least post free tutorials so people can make their own.” (I would actually love to teach but I just do not have the health or ability to do that. Besides, even a shortened tutorial would be 10+ hours of instruction and do you have any idea how much time and work go into shooting and editing videos?! It’s a HUGE amount of work - time I would much better spend creating.) 🧡 I just need to vent. I think sometimes people forget that I’m a human being with feelings just doing the best I can. I just want to make the art that makes me happy and distracts me from my constant physical pain. I just want to share what I am excited about. 🧡 Please stop. Not everything is for sale. Not everything is for you. You can enjoy from a distance. I’m not withholding anything you literally can’t live without. Get some damn perspective and check the entitlement at the door, please.
