I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but if you’re battling to advocate for yourself, if you’re struggling to seize a new opportunity or a chance to chase your dream — keep pushing. The internal guilt you will feel initially is a consequence of being children of immigrants (look up immigrant guilt), but this is your future, take control over it. I know we are taught to just keep others happy but that does not serve us well in our future.
