Let's call this post 'DETAILS YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED VOLUME 2'.. because to be honest, you'd have to look really really close to MAYBE catch this one. Yes, 'Repo Man' is one of my all-time favorite films. Yes, as a nod to 'Repo Man'.. I try to sneak props and set dressing in the style of "1980's Ralph's Generic Labels" into many projects I work on. In the 1980's.. local Los Angeles grocery store chain Ralph's had an entire line of generic-labeled goods with simple descriptions on them like "BEER" and "CIGARETTES". The movie 'Repo Man' uses these products extensively throughout the film, even riffing on this by making jokes, like cans that say "FOOD". We needed to design our own label for the Chapstick prop, and I asked our fantastic Graphic Designer (@mishipete) to come up with something in the style of the 'Repo Man' packaging. Our excellent Property Master (@propmasterjosh) assembled the lip balm props, and filled them with secret edible goop.
